Charisma Introduces Officially Licensed Girl Scout-branded Doll Collection

Laguna Hills, CA, January 3, 2010: Charisma Brands, the California-based designer, developer, and marketer of award-winning dolls, launches an officially licensed collection of Girl Scout-branded dolls.  Developed under a license agreement with Girl Scouts of the USA, the collection will make its debut to wholesale buyers at the International Toy Fair in New York in February 2011. The dolls will begin shipping to retailers in March 2011.

Charisma will introduce a premium 18” play and display doll under its award-winning Adora® doll brand in the first quarter of 2011.  The collection will feature five dolls in a range of diverse ethnicities, each wearing a fashionable Girl Scout-branded casual outfit.  In addition, the collection will include replicas of Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie and Junior uniforms, as well as casual fashion outfits, each available separately.  The Adora Girl Scouts collection is age graded for doll enthusiasts ages six and up.

The dolls were sculpted by a master sculptor in the Adora studio, and are made in a fine collector-quality vinyl with soft-sculpt weighted bodies and life-like hair.  Each one has been hand crafted, one-by-one, with meticulous detailing.  Each endearing face has been hand painted and each costume individually sewn.

“We are delighted to be associated with Girl Scouts,” says Peggy Vicioso, Vice President, Marketing & Product Development for Charisma. “It is a brand we have admired for years and were eager to work with. Our Adora Girl Scout dolls have been created as a quality collection of dolls that every girl will want to own.”

“We’re pleased to be working with Charisma,” says Barry Horowitz, Vice President and General Manager, Girl Scout Merchandise.  “The Adora doll collection helps us expand awareness of our brand, reaching girls who are currently Girl Scout members as well as those who are not yet members.”
