DIC Entertainment named Global Licensing Agent to Charisma Brands’ All- American Penny Brite…
DIC Entertainment (DIC), a leading global brand management company, has been appointed global licensing agent for the re-launch of the classic girls’ brand, Penny Brite, by Charisma Brands, LLC, the award-winning designer and manufacturer of collectible dolls, fashion jewelry, and other artistic products. The announcement was made today at Licensing Show 2008 by Kirk Bloomgarden, Executive Vice President, Global Sales, DIC, and Anthony P. Shutts, President and CEO of Charisma Brands,LLC.
DIC will create two merchandising programs for the re-launch of the Penny Brite brand, including a classic retro line targeting girls and collectors, featuring apparel, publishing, music, gifts, novelties and more. DIC will create a home entertainment program that will be supported by a major licensing initiative across major categories, including toys, apparel, interactive, health and beauty, back-to-school and more. DIC will seek partners at Licensing Show and anticipates launching the Penny Brite classic retro line in 2009 with a subsequent home entertainment and merchandising launch in 2010..
