Representing the band of 600 tropical islands in the South Pacific, is Mukki of New Guinea. The name Mukki is also known as the bird of paradise, and conveniently so, he has made himself a headdress of the bird feathers found in the jungle! A faux animal-skin vest covers his green linen shirt and shorts.
* Colorful beads dangle throughout the hemp strands of his faux-fur ceremonial skirt. Genuine “cowry” seashells outline the edge of his triangular beaded amulet.
* Multi-colored feathers, chevron braid and a band of hemp-fringe are combined to create this elaborate headdress.
