Malaysia which is separated by the serene south pacific sea into two regions is represented by the awe inspiring Yana. Yana who is dressed in a traditional Sabah costume, Sabah being a state located in the northern portion of the island of Borneo. Her costume reflects the countless hours of skillful handwork it with the “linangkit” embroidery and creative application of the hundreds of multicolor beads, jewels and metal accents on her headdress. The expertise in the design and decoration to each costume illuminates a sense of beauty and uniqueness to this doll.
