Charity Collaboration – Help for Haiti
Charisma assembles high profile industry doll professionals
to raise money for the children of Haiti.

Charisma Brands LLC -- an Irvine, California-based designer, developer, and marketer of award-winning dolls – launches two unique fine-porcelain collectible art dolls, “Help for Haiti”. Brother and Sister, “Emmanuel and Johanna” have been sculpted and donated to the project by Award-Winning Master Artist, Susan Krey.  These special siblings capture so perfectly the innocence of the children during the time of disaster and the hope of children to find some joy, while surrounded by such tragedy. Children are often the most vulnerable in any natural disaster. The collaborative project hopes to help “Relieve, Recover and Rebuild” the lives of innocent children.

Marie Osmond Dolls will oversee the manufacturing of these exclusive handmade works of art, with attention to every detail, from the hand-painted features, to the hand-set eyes.  “Emmanuel and Johanna” are fully articulated and are completely posable, individually, or magically as a set.  Emmanuel is 20” and sells for $119.95 and Johanna is 18” and sells for $99.95, or they are offered as a set for $199.95.

According to Peggy Vicioso, VP Marketing & Product Development for Charisma Brands, all profits from the sales of these dolls will benefit Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) -- Hospital Efforts to Care For Sick, Injured Haitian Children. “The concept became a reality at the International Doll Expo, a Doll Reader Magazine industry event, in Orlando in January.  We were thrilled when Susan Krey offered to design and donate the sculptures, because Susan has very rarely allowed her pieces to be reproduced in any way.” Susan's dolls are easily recognizable to the serious collector for their beautiful faces and fine workmanship. Her work is highly collectable, both here and abroad. It is also exhibited in museums and has received many awards over the years.

“Then we approached Marie Osmond, the Co-Founder of Children’s Miracle Network, who graciously offered her assistance on the project,” says Vicioso.  “Collaboratively, we decided to donate the money raised to the CMN fund that supports its hospitals taking in sick and injured children being evacuated from Haiti, as well as providing medical supplies and personnel on the ground.”

For almost 20 years, Charisma has been providing superior quality, unique designs and a special approach to doll marketing. Thanks to the generosity of Marie Osmond, Susan Krey, Charisma Brands, Doll Reader Magazine and countless others who donated their talent and expertise, “Hope for Haiti” will make a difference in the lives of hundreds of children.
